The Hope of Israel Baptist Mission

Please check out the above link for a wonderful ministry reaching out to the Jews around the world pointing them to Jesus Christ, the Messiah. I saw Bro. Fried several weeks ago at the National Sword of the Lord Conference in Walkertown, NC, and he is still busily raising funds to print a Hebrew-Russian New Testament prophecy bible to get into the hands of Russian Jews throughout the world. His mission work has already successfully printed a Hebrew-English New Testament and it has been distributed to thousands of Jews here in the US and around the world. His website has plenty of good material regarding Jewish news items and Jewish culture as well as biblical studies about the Jews.

We should not neglect the Jews in our daily witnessing for Jesus Christ. Here are some reasons for Jewish evangelism;

A. The Jews are still God's chosen people. Deut. 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
B. God still loves Israel. Deut. 7:7-8 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Isa. 49:16-16 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
C. There is only one way to be saved for both Jew and Gentile. John 3:18, 36 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
D. The Great Commission demands it. Matt. 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Isa. 62:11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. Rom. 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
E. The Blessing and the Curse. Gen. 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
F. IF WE DO NOT TELL THEM, WHO WILL???

Just wondering what your view is on the fighting in the Middle East right now between Israel and the Hezbollah. Personally, I believe we should help Israel, pray for them etc. I know your family has had more contact with Jews/Israelis, so I'm just wondering what your take is on the whole situation.

MonkeyBaker,

You are correct that as Christians we should be praying and standing by all Jewish people, especially the nation of Israel. When I read the news events, I see Bible prophecy regarding the Tribulation period and the final battle against God's chosen people shaping up very clearly. Nations are lining up against Israel; not just the Arab nations in the Middle East, but Russia and China and the European Common nations.... all siding with the current enemies of Israel. There will never be peace between Israel and the Arab nations, just as foretold in Scripture. But the Antichrist will step forward, offering "false peace" for the first half of the Tribulation period. The world will gladly welcome this political leader; with the current UN situation, we know the one world gov't and religious system is setting up too. One hundred years ago no one paid attention to the Middle East. Now with the emerging technology of the last century, the oil that is buried there has become "Black Gold" to every prospering nation. They have got to have it to keep their economies alive!!! I could go on and on... let's just continue to watch the end times of the Bible come alive; but not without pointing the world to the Saviour before it will be too late for them to obtain salvation.
