Christians are Commanded to Pray for Our Governmental Leaders

1 Tim. 2:1-3 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Romans 13:1-6 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

1. The President of the USA
2. The nine members of the Supreme Court
3. The two Senators from your home state
4. The Congressional Representative for your home district
5. The state Senators or Representatives for your home district
6. The Governor of your home state
7. The Mayor of your local town
8. The City Council of your local town
9. The County Commisioners of your local county
10. The members of the school board in your local area, whether city or county

How do I pray for these governmental leaders???

1. Pray that they will fear God
2. Pray that they will have faith in God
3. Pray that they will walk with God
4. Pray that they will be a friend to God's people
5. Pray that they will reject ungodly counsel
6. Pray that they will resist wrong pressure
7. Pray that they will do what is right for the country over personal ambition
8. Pray for God to bless their homes and marriages

Pray that the Lord will raise up God-fearing men to hold public office!!!!!
