Seven Simple Steps for Witnessing to Cultists

1. Control the Encounter.

a. Lead off the discussion in prayer if they will allow it.

b. Pray in Jesus Christ's name, asking that the truth will be made known and received.

c. Ask only questions that you know the truth from scripture and your heart.

2. Stick to the Subject.

a. Stay on topic; WHO GOD IS, WHO JESUS IS, whether there are MANY GODS OR ONE.

b. Be polite. Don't allow the discussion to make you angry.

c. If they are not polite, stop the discussion, thank them, and then move on.

3. Emphasize Jesus Christ.

a. Ask questions about Jesus, backing them up with scripture.

b. Give your testimony about how Jesus Christ has changed your life, and how you KNOW that you are going to Heaven.

4. Always use your Bible to Witness or to Ask Questions.

a. Never let them start going to scripture before you. Have questions prepared in advance.

b. Ask only questions that you know are answered clearly in the Bible.

c. Be confident since you are using God's word.

5. Never Give Up.

A good Christian witness brings the non-Christian that much closer to finding the truth.

6. Close in Prayer, if possible.

Once alone, pray to God about your encounter and reflect on what you said and did.

7. Remember; They are going to Hell already.

They already face the worst that can happen, but the best thing is they might get saved.
