Statements Contrary to our Current Political Philosophy
Hmmmmm........ the statements below make perfect sense to me, but I wonder what our "leaders" in Washington, D.C. would have to say about them......
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
5. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Very true ... but it would be nice if everybody was put on a level playing field. I think society has become selfish although there is a lot of good people out there. Great blog . I can Relate here is mine http://wayne-newsyoudontsee.blogspot.com/
Wayne,
The only true level playing field is found at the foot of the cross... we all have a choice to make whether or not we place our faith in Jesus Christ, the one and only way to eternal life in Heaven. Sadly, however, the majority will choose the world vs. the peace of God.
Throughout life we all are placed on many different playing fields... do we wallow and sorrow and make no efforts to better ourselves, or do we work and motivate ourselves to overcome the circumstances/obstacles in our path on this field. We only grow in our lives by overcoming those obstacles.... and then realize there will be more to overcome just down the road. There is only a brief season of rest and celebration. Enjoy those times!!!
We all have the opportunity to overcome obstacles in the playing field.... but how willing are you to work for it???
And please realize that happiness and satisfaction can be found on whatever playing field you may be one.... it is not things that matter or guarantee success; rather it is love found in friends and family within your circle of influence on that playing field.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment...
