Questions For A New Year
Haggai 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Once, when the people of God had become careless in their relationship with Him, the Lord rebuked them through the prophet Haggai. "Consider your ways!" he declared, urging them to reflect on some of the things happening to them and to evaluate their slipshod spirituality in light of what God had told them.
Even those most faithful to God occasionally need to pause and think about the direction of their lives. It's so easy to bump along from one busy week to another without ever stopping to ponder where we're going and where we should be going.
The beginning of a new year is an ideal time to stop, look up and get our bearings. For starters, here are 10 questions to ask prayerfully in the presence of God:
1. What's one thing you could do this year to increase your enjoyment of God?
2. What's the most humanly impossible thing you will ask God to do this year?
3. What's the single most important thing you could do to improve the quality of your family life this year?
4. In which spiritual discipline do you most want to make progress this year, and what will you do about it?
5. What is the single biggest time-waster in your life, and what will you do about it this year?
6. What is the most helpful new way you could strengthen your church?
7. For whose salvation will you pray most fervently this year?
8. What's the most important way you will, by God's grace, try to make this year different from last year?
9. What one thing could you do to improve your prayer life this year?
10. What single thing that you plan to do this year will matter most in 10 years? In eternity?

TIS TWEEN HIS [ OR IF YOU WISH POLITICAL CORRECTNESS "HER"] GOD. AND TO ASK WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT IT IS NO ONES BUSINESS .. ITS BETWEEN THE PRACTITIONER AND THEIR CREATOR. [ THERE ARE MANY PATHS . BUT THEY ALL LEAD TO THE SAME OCEAN… WHY DID THIS DUDE MAKE GOD COME OFF SO STUPID? DO YOU KNOW MORE THAN HE DOES???

Well, since you asked, part 2 of some more SERIOUS questions that one may want to reflect toward their CREATOR will be coming your way tomorrow.... but I understand your pleasure in poking fun at anything concerning God.... so keep those typing fingers limber so that you can send some more "thoughts" my way!!!
However, I'm aware you don't know any better, so I'll just pray that you and your family have a Happy New Year.... stick around, possibly you may learn something this coming year if you allow yourself to take a serious look within your soul....

I'm sorry, I assumed that the original post was for individuals to take inventory on their own personal lives and to keep it within themselves; I myself am not concerned about each individuals personal responses; it is between you and God. I just wish everyone would take the time to reflect upon some of these things, and a New Year seems to be a good time to take that personal inventory.
I was surprised at the response in the first place, and although I suppose some can respond with their personal answers to assist one another in mutual accountability and exhortation,that was not my intention. IF one wishes to post their respones, then I guess that is fair game.
You answered accordingly to your own personal belief system, and I respect your right to do so. If I offended you with my statement, please forgive me.

Thanks for the kind comment regarding myself; I try to discuss things with all people who are also willing to discuss in an open and honest dialogue. However, no one knows how much time either of us has to continue; we fail to thank God for each breath of air or heart beat which occurs, yet at any time either could be our last.

The WE referred to mankind in total, of which, of course, both you and I do belong....
Well, at least I admit to being part of God's creation.... :)
To be honest, I've never spent much time with a SQUID, so I can't comment about their personality traits, even if it is an almost comparison... :) :) :)
I hope you have had a wonderful year in 2007, and I pray that 2008 holds even greater things for both you and your family!!!
