Thus Saith The Lord GOD
Ezek. 22:28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
Ezekiel’s message included God’s condemnation of the spiritual condition of His people. The prophets, priests, princes, and people were guilty of corruption. They had violated His law, profaned His holy things, and ignored His sabbaths. False prophets were using their influence to deceive the people and console them in their rebellion. We see in this Scripture that they, the prophets, were claiming to see things that were “vanity.” What they were proclaiming was destructive. The message they were preaching was dishonest. They were claiming to speak for God, “saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.” It is a horrible thing when those who claim to be God’s messengers proclaim their opinions in the name of truth. It is an extremely grievous thing for people to be without knowledge or revelation of truth. But there may be something worse than the absence of God’s Word. That is the substitution for error, in the name of, or place of, truth. Believing a lie is probably more damaging than believing nothing. If a person does not know what to believe, he may be prone to continue to search for answers. Whereas, if a person is given reason to think a lie is the truth, he is content in his deception. Likewise, when a person has been convinced that error is correct, he will be inclined to reject the truth if and when it comes, because his mind has been corrupted with falsehoods. It is often more difficult to teach someone who has been instructed wrongly than someone who has not been taught at all. There has always been a need for faithful servants to present God’s Word to their generation. True prophets were in the minority in the days of Ezekiel, as they sometimes are today. The truth may not always be received and believed, but it must be proclaimed. People need God’s Truth. When someone says, “Thus saith the Lord GOD,” how can we know if they are true messengers of God? The Bible must be the standard. God has spoken, and what He has said is found in the Holy Scriptures. When a preacher speaks of things pertaining to God and His will, he must speak that which is in agreement with His preserved Word.

That is a powerful thought that it may be more dangerous to believe a lie than it is to believe nothing at all. I agree with you whole-heartedly. When the Catholic church tries to convince people that they are required to perform certain acts other than simple faith to gain heaven they are guilty. When the Mohammad taught that Jesus was just another prophet, he was guilty. The list could go on. Amen to you! Good post.

LK 1:26-38 The angel who appears to Mary to foretell the birth of Jesus says that Jesus will be given the throne of David, that he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and that his kingdom will never end. (None of this took place nor can it now be fulfilled.)
MT 16:28, MK 9:1, LK 9:27 Jesus says that some of his listeners will not taste death before he comes again in his kingdom. This was said almost 2000 years ago. (Note: This and many other passages indicate that Jesus was to come again in a relatively short period of time and not just "quickly" as present day Biblicists assert. All of his listeners are now dead, yet Jesus has not come again in his kingdom. All of the alleged words of Jesus recorded in the Bible are therefore suspect.)
MK 16:17-18 A believer can handle snakes or drink poison and not experience any harm. (Note: Many unfortunate believers have died as a result of handling snakes and drinking poison. This kind of assertion negates the Bible as a useful guidebook for life.)
GE 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven(s) and the earth." (But where did God dwell before he had created heaven and earth?) (Note: Biblicists have determined that biblical chronology fixes the date of creation at 4004 B.C. thereby making the earth about six thousand years old. Creationists stubbornly adhere to this timetable in spite of overwhelming evidence that the earth is actually billions of years old. Archaeologists tell us that the biblical city of Jericho has, itself, been continuously occupied for more than ten thousand years.)
GE 1:3-5, 14-19 There was light ("night and day") before there was a sun. (Note: If there were no sun, there would be no night or day. Also, light from the newly created heavenly bodies seems to have reached the earth instantaneously though it now takes thousands or millions of years.)
GE 1:12, 16 Plants began to grow before there was sunlight.
GE 1:29 Every plant and tree which yield seed are given to us by God as good to eat. (Note: This would include poisonous plants such as hemlock, buckeye pod, nightshade, oleander.)
GE 2:15-23, 3:1-5, 1TI 2:14 Eve was created after Adam had already been given the prohibition about eating the forbidden fruit. Eve believed the serpent (the craftiest of all of God's wild creatures) when he assured her that she would become wise and would not die if she ate the fruit. Eve has been blamed for causing Adam to fall, and ultimately for the fall of mankind. (Note: Prior to eating the forbidden fruit, Adam and Eve would have had no knowledge of right and wrong; they would not have known that it was a sin to disobey God or to obey the serpent. After they ate the forbidden fruit, God placed a guard around the "Tree of Eternal Life" to keep them from eating its fruit. He could have done the same for the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil" before Adam and Eve disobeyed. In addition, even though the prohibition regarding the forbidden fruit was made to Adam before Eve came on the scene, Eve has been blamed for the Fall; 1TI 2:14 says: "... Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.")

The only problem with your JUST TELLIN IT LIKE IT IS.... is that you really aren't!!! You seem to be missing Biblical context, the whole counsel of the Word of God, and the understanding given by the Holy Spirit to rightly divide God's Word...
By the way, did you come up with this list of so-called contridictions by yourself, or simply a reading of some sceptic of God and His Word??? That is the problem with most people today; they read more about what others say about the Bible instead of just reading the Bible for themselves, earnestly seeking and desiring to know the truth themselves. The world is full of Biblical illiterates....
And yes, many people can be dumb... you are correct; however, I believe you chose the wrong crowd!!!
