What Will Make A Good Father???

1. Knowing you are saved with a wholehearted love for the Lord - Deut. 6:4-5 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
2. Having God's Word dwelling in your heart - Deut. 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Being a diligent teacher of the Scriptures - Deut. 6:6-9 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
4. Being a good example at home, church, work, and in the community - Prov. 4:11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
5. Providing for your children's physical needs - 1 Tim. 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
6. Desiring to train your children in the nuture and admonition of the Lord - Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
7. Maintaining an active service and cheerful participation in a local Bible-believing church - Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
