Let Them Alone
Hosea 4:17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.
The Lord is long-suffering, and those who speak in His name should be also. There do come times, however, when further witness becomes useless or even harmful, or when continued interaction merely invites contamination with ungodliness. In such cases we must simply leave such people alone, following them with prayer and trusting God alone to deal with them.
Such was the ten tribe nation of Israel, led by the tribes of Ephraim, just before God sent them into Assyrian captivity. Using the prophet Hosea, God told Judah henceforth to let them alone - they were hopelessly given over to pagan idolatry. The words "joined to" in the verse above literally means "under the spell of."
The Lord Jesus used similarly harsh language in reference to the hypocritical Pharisees of His own day;
Matt. 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
There are other similar warnings found in God's Word;
2 Tim. 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2 Tim. 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
Eph. 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Most such warnings found in Scripture seem in context to apply especially to people who once knew and understood the truth, perhaps even professing to accept it for some time, and then knowingly rejected it. When such men oppose our testimony, God says to let them alone; He can deal with them better than we.

However, allow me to give you some simple advice: If you keep looking at fallen men and their un-Biblical actions and their man-made RELIGION, they will create a false picture of God in your life, leading you down the wrong path toward eternity.... instead, why not focus on a sincere reading of His Word and discover God's true nature and His desire for true fellowship with man.
Don't allow RELIGION to be your crutch which disallows you from walking with God!!!

The Flood is a part of many national histories... thus, the truth is that God did send a Great Flood.... others speak of it, not just His chosen people. He can include it in His book just as well as all others....

Easy... I believe that the Bible is the Word of God... God used men to record His Word... when I read it, God is speaking to me. I have a free will to accept what He says, or reject what He says... but either way, someday I will answer to Him for my actions.
You, on the other hand, continue to see the Bible as the words of men telling us about God... you have no problem believing parts of it, rejecting parts of it, or even riduculing parts of it... simply because you perceive it as only the words of men.
That's not too hard to understand, is it??? I have faith that God has given us His written revelation of His Self and His dealings with man, and this written word is from Him so that we can know Him.

I trust in the King James Bible simply because I speak English, and I believe it is an accurate record of God's recorded written word which was originally penned in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek languages. When I read it, I am reading the words of God in the language that I speak and understand. Other English language Bibles are the works of men to "improve" upon God's Word accordingly to their knowledge... other modern English translations are exactly that... man's words about what God said based upon their knowledge alone... it is no longer God's words, but man's words. God's Word can be found in other languages... the King James Bible is my choice simply because I speak English. I have never implied that it is the ONLY Word of God...
As far as other books, they are written by men.... but there is only one Book written by God... He promised He would preserve His Word to all generations... God does not lie.... so we can be sure today that we do have His words... although men have tried to dilute and pollute and destroy His Word over the years, even continuing today, He has preserved His written Word to us.
RELIGION emphasizes books with their knowledge and tradition about God... and although it may contain some truths of God and His Word, it is written by man. God does not continually reveal new truth to man throughout the years in written form... it was done once and is now complete. Anyone who claims they have a new truth from God is a LIAR!!!
So, those books detailing the truth of the great flood are simply man speaking about God and His judgment upon the earth... I approach those books as written by men... I can learn from them, and they may contain some truth... but the Bible is ALL TRUTH...
My blog posts contain truth from His Word and also verses from His Word... but they are my words... I don't expect you to believe you are hearing from God when you read a post from me. When you pick up the Bible, however, you should!!!!
The Bible has been and is continually attacked today... while no other book can say the same... one book is constantly ridiculed from generation to generation... one name, Jesus, is constantly mocked and taken in vain... think about it!!!!!

Again, God wrote that statement, so I believe it... His Word will be preserved for all eternity.

God's hand was in play in preserving His Word... He guided His chosen nation and the early church to compile and keep His Word.
Of course, Satan has always attempted to corrupt God's Word and bring doubt to His Word... his first appearance to Eve in the Garden of Eden was to cause her to question the very words of God...

Paul, who wrote many of the New Testament books through the guidance of God and His Spirit warned the early church of false teachers and those who corrupt the Word of God...

Again, your approach is that all books are from man.... you do not believe that The Bible is the very Word of God. The Bible is my final authority in my faith toward God and my daily actions.

I trust in the King James Bible simply because I speak English, and I believe it is an accurate record of God's recorded written word which was originally penned in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek languages. When I read it, I am reading the words of God in the language that I speak and understand. Other English language Bibles are the works of men to "improve" upon God's Word accordingly to their knowledge... other modern English translations are exactly that... man's words about what God said based upon their knowledge alone... it is no longer God's words, but man's words. God's Word can be found in other languages... the King James Bible is my choice simply because I speak English. I have never implied that it is the ONLY Word of God...

As far as other books, they are written by men.... but there is only one Book written by God... He promised He would preserve His Word to all generations... God does not lie.... so we can be sure today that we do have His words... although men have tried to dilute and pollute and destroy His Word over the years, even continuing today, He has preserved His written Word to us.

and although it may contain some truths of God and His Word, it is written by man. God does not continually reveal new truth to man throughout the years in written form... it was done once and is now complete. Anyone who claims they have a new truth from God is a LIAR!!!

So, those books detailing the truth of the great flood are simply man speaking about God and His judgment upon the earth... I approach those books as written by men... I can learn from them, and they may contain some truth... but the Bible is ALL TRUTH...
