How Do You Grow In The Lord???

1. You grow in what you do - this includes starting some things (i.e. daily Bible reading, prayer, etc.) and stopping some things (i.e. forsaking church, talking about others, etc).
2. You grow in how you do it - a proper Christian attitude utilizing the fruits of the Holy Spirit which you have given control of your life. Eccl. 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. Col 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 1 Cor. 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. Matt. 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
3. You grow in why you do it - 1 Cor. 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. a) It is good to do it because you are excited about it. b) It is good to do it because you enjoy it. c) It is good to do it because it is your duty to do it. d) It is good to do because you love others. e) It is best to do it because you love the Lord and want to glorify the Lord.
